Umeå University, founded 17 September 1965, is one of the largest providers of higher education in Sweden and we are Graduation Ceremony for international master's programmes On Wednesday 12 May, Umeå University will hold a ceremony to honour graduating students of International Master's Programmes. The ceremony is arranged for doctors graduated at Umeå University up to and including 7 May, 2018. Please notice that you have to wear formal dress at the ceremony, i.e. white tie and tails and white waistcoat, evening gown, national costume or academic gown. The second ceremony of Umeå school of business and economics was much bigger than the first one. Much more graduating students attended and there were many more guests. As most students were Swedish, the ceremony was held approximately half in English, half Swedish.

Umeå University invites all doctors who have completed their doctoral degree at the University to be conferred at the Spring Graduation. Your conferment at the Spring Graduation does not need to take place the same year as you receive your doctoral degree certificate. It can take place later.
